Welcome to Resilient Infrastructure Lab (RIL)!
Our lab aims to develop ideas and solutions that enable critical social infrastructure, which human society depends on, to absorb shocks, recover rapidly from damage, and provide continuous services to society.
The main research areas include the development of infrastructure resilience assessment methodologies, analysis of infrastructure networks and interdependencies, and modeling of damage propagation. To achieve these goals, the lab employs theories such as socio-ecological resilience and complex systems network theory to establish social systems capable of responding to and adapting to various types of disturbances, ranging from urban infrastructure to natural environments.
